Mary Merritt

Mary Merritt began her career at Georgia State University in 1996 working in a range of departments from The Adult Literacy Research Center in the College of Education to the GSU Office of Institutional Effectiveness. However she has spent the majority of her time at Georgia State with the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies – School of Social Work, holding positions from department receptionist to administer coordinator with the Professional Excellence Program. Today Mary is the senior administrative coordinator of the Georgia Title IV-E Child Welfare Education and Training Program State Administration team where she assists with the coordination of an eight university consortium, concentrating on the education of social work students interested in a career in public child welfare.
Mary has served terms on both the Georgia State University Staff Council as well as the GSU University Bookstore Committee.
Ms. Merritt has a certificate of training in business and management from the Atlanta Urban League and has completed the business manager certificate course from the GSU Office of Organizational Development. Currently, Mary is enrolled at Georgia State University Perimeter College.
