- Biography
Sonji Brown is a licensed clinical social worker with over 16 years of experience in social work, including child welfare, adoption, hospice, non-profit, and community mental health. She has also served as a practicum supervisor for undergraduate and graduate-level social work and mental health students throughout her career. As a native of Flint, Michigan, she has seen up close and personal what social injustice looks like, which has cultivated a strong interest in social justice issues related to race and gender. She is the proud mother of 3 adult children and a wife of over 30 years. She is also the mommy to her fur baby, Luna. Her interests include travel, cooking, reading, and gardening. She enjoys spending time on her backyard deck, growing various plants, herbs, and vegetables. She is a proud alumna of Georgia State University, earning her M.S.W. (2006) and her B.A. in Psychology (1993) from the institution.
