- Biography
Tammie Green currently directs the Social Action Alliance (SAA), a Georgia State initiative that is housed in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, yet open to all undergraduate majors at downtown and Perimeter College campuses. As a national education partner of the Volcker Alliance and Arizona State University’s NextGen Service Corps, the SAA aims to cultivate the next generation of social change makers.
Upon receiving her M.P.A. from AYSPS, Ms. Green contracted with her alma mater, producing and managing educational multimedia projects to support the implementation of instructional design and instructional technology in multi-modality courses. She previously served as an instructional design and multimedia graduate assistant, and a PR & Marketing graduate assistant where she wrote articles for the Andrew Young School News Hub and the GSU Magazine.
Ms. Green has been a multimedia writer, producer, and educator for over 15 years with experience in TV, Film, nonprofit film education, and creative and professional writing. She has worked at (the original) Tyler Perry Studios, at Rainforest Films, and on several productions with Black Entertainment Television (BET). She also founded Sowartist Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to teaching film development and production to students with barriers to creative summer programming. Developing creative projects and solutions for those who need access or enhancements are Ms. Green’s true passions. She loves academia and will continue to consult, teach, and build programs with the intent to uplift.
