Troy Crittendon
Assistant Director, Alumni Relations Career Services- Biography
Troy Crittendon is the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations with the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University. In this role, Troy manages alumni programs, communications, and experiences for the thousands of alumni from the Andrew Young School. Troy brings more than six years of experience working in the public service sector. Frommanaging voter efficacy programs, registering more than 37,000 people to vote in the Metropolitan Atlanta area, to being selected as a 2021 fellow with the New Leaders Council, Troy looks to bring his experience in public service to the Andrew Young School to enrich the alumni journey.
Prior to rejoining the Office of Career Services and Alumni Relations, Troy worked in the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget, working to ensure the efficient stewardship of state resources for some of the state’s most critical public safety agencies. From there, Troy, both, managed and crafted public policy platforms for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce to further build Georgia’s workforce of the future.
Additionally, Troy has also been committed to building and fostering community amongst alumni. Troy has served as the President of the Georgia State Young Alumni Council for the 2022-2023 programmatic year; and as a member of the Alumni Association’s Board of Directors for his undergraduate alma mater, the University of West Georgia, where he was recognized as a 2022 Thriving Under 30 award recipient.
Troy earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of West Georgia in 2016, and is an alumnus of the Andrew Young School, receiving his Master’s in Public Administration in 2019.
