Welcome to the Department of Public Management and Policy in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies.
PMAP prepares future leaders of public and non-profit organizations and future scholars in public policy and administration. Our undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs offer specializations in public and nonprofit management, budgeting and public finance, planning and economic development, and policy analysis and program evaluation. Talented, enthusiastic professors teach students the political and economic context in which public and nonprofit organizations operate and the theoretical and practical tools they need to succeed in the public sector. Our location in Atlanta – a hub for federal, state, and local governments as well as local, national, and international nonprofits – provides outstanding service-learning and internship opportunities for students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. Our graduates take jobs in federal agencies, international development, policy analysis, financial management, nonprofit leadership, city management, consulting, legal affairs, and national service.
Come join us in a program US News ranks in the top 25 in the nation.
