About Public Management & Policy
Welcome to the Department of Public Management and Policy in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies.
The Department of Public Management and Policy promotes excellence in public affairs scholarship and practice through research, teaching, and community engagement. Our undergraduate, masters’ and doctoral programs offer highly ranked specializations in public and nonprofit management, budgeting and public finance, urban planning and policy, as well as policy analysis and program evaluation. We foster an environment where students from diverse background can succeed in the classroom and in the profession and become future leaders in public, nonprofit, and private sectors. Our faculty members conduct evidence-based research to inform critical public policy debates, address complex governance challenges, and engage communities locally, nationally, and globally. Our location in the heart of Atlanta – a hub for federal, state, and local governments as well as corporate headquarters and international nonprofits, provides ample opportunities for our students to apply their knowledge to the real world.
Come join us in a program US News ranks in the top 20 in the nation.
