    • Georgia State University received a 12th place ranking in a study of scholarly productivity in peer-reviewed social work journals published in the Journal of Social Service Research. Jan Ligon, associate professor of social work and first author on the publication, notes that the same methodology has been used to calculate the results since the initial study published in 1986.  Authors of articles in six social work journals for a five year period form the basis for the data, which has been tracked for a total of 25 years in the total of five studies.
