The Fall 2019 Andrew Young School Graduate Commencement Ceremony for Masters students will take place on Wednesday, December 18th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Student Center East Ballroom.
All graduate students participating in the ceremony should report to the Urban Life building between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Volunteers will be available to issue instructions to the ceremony participants.
12:30 p.m. — Graduate student check-in begins
1:00 p.m. — Student Center East Ballroom opens for guests
1:30 p.m. — Graduate students must be in their designated line up area dressed in academic regalia
1:30 p.m. — Instructions given to participants on ceremony
1:45 p.m. — Students by degree program begin lining up for the processional
2:00 p.m. — Processional for the ceremony begins
Andrew Young School of Policy Studies Graduate Commencement Ceremony Etiquette
The Andrew Young School of Policy Studies recognizes that the graduate commencement ceremony is a celebration. It is also important for parents, guests, and participants of the ceremony to acknowledge that it is a formal academic ceremony to be conducted with respect and dignity. We ask that everyone turn off all cell phones during the ceremony, and remain seated for the duration of the ceremony.
